Hey Wes, Doug and Don. I haven't commented in awhile but this is pretty big so thought I would chime in. I think that if you have moved past doing holiday pin-ups that is probably a good thing. I will miss seeing them (and not just for the skin, I do have a live in verified real girl so drawings don't hold the same appeal) as I am sure most other readers will as well.

CShelton!  It's been awhile.  Thanks for feedback.  Personally,  I'm getting tired of drawing pinups.  The hentai artist out there do it so much better than I do,  I figure why waste my time.  I've been going through the old archive and I'm pretty embarrassed by the old pinups.  I like the 007 one, but after 3 years and almost 30 pinups, it's the only one that looks good (besides the one I did for Cshelton way back in the beginning).  But don't worry, Jenn and Tress won't be turning into nuns.  They will still get the same treatment as always,  but now that will be confined to the stories in the strip.

I don't know about all that Don, perhaps you are being more critical of your own art than others. I think that all of your drawings look good, it's Wes that needs the art lessons!  Psyche I joke, I joke! But seriously I know as an amateur artist/writer myself that it can be hard to see your own creations as being "good" but I can't imagine Wes having any regrets about his choice of artist and even though, yes you have gotten better, that doesn't mean your older works are somehow less than good.

And being biased as I am I have to agree that the Mellissa pin-up is one of the best.

I actually like this new Non-Pinup direction. And no it's not because I'm a "chick."  So bring on the good stuff.

Well kinda.  From now on if there are anymore pin-ups, it will be part of a story like:

I's sad to hear that the pinups are going away, but I can understand if you want to move the comic in a perhaps more serious direction, or if you're just sick of drawing them. I'll still miss them, but the book project sounds interesting as well.

I agree with Glory on doing a "I'm never gonna get laid" strip again once in a while, and maybe you'll feel like doing a pinup or two a year at some point, when you're not sick to death of them, who knows?

I've thought about this series, a lot.  I'd like to continue more in this series, but I've exhausted my ideas.  Many of the standard monster cliches have been done already, either here or by someone else.  I like the idea as much as anyone, but I won't throw out second and third rate ideas, just to fit into a theme.
